Tisha B'Av, the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av, commemorates the anniversary of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in an ancient Jerusalem and is observed as a national day of mourning for the Jewish people. During Tisha B'Av, many Jews fast and devote themselves to a renewed commitment to rebuilding and repairing out relationships with one another.
