The next selection of the Kol Shalom book club will be My Father's Paradise: A Son’s Search for His Jewish Past in Kurdish Iraq, by Ariel Sabar. The discussion will take place on Sunday, November 18, at 10:30 in the youth lounge at Kol Shalom. We welcome all readers whenever they can participate.

MoCo Rise for Climate seeks to educate, inspire, and motivate residents of Montgomery County to get our elected leaders and our whole community to act boldly to fight for climate change.  Hear from inspiring speakers, enjoy great music and learn how you can connect to organizations to help fight climate change.  Speakers include: Rep. Jamie Raskin, MoCo Councilmember, Marc Elrich and leading climate scientists.

Kol Shalom Book Club

Sept. 30, 10:00: Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel's Targeted Assassinations, by Ronen Bergman. This is a long book, so we have allowed extra time. The meeting will be in the youth lounge at Kol Shalom.
