10 Leadership Lessons from the Tanakh/Bible

Did you ever wonder how you can become a better leader in your own life, in your organization, and in your community? The Tanakh/Bible is a fantastic inspirational source for leadership lessons – from Abraham through Ezra the Scribe, we see one example after another of great leadership. This course will examine 10 leadership lessons in 5 modules. We will learn together topics like Honesty and Integrity; Purpose; Communication and Justice – just a few of the many topics that underpin great leadership. We’ll review the lives of such great leaders as Abraham, Moses and King David. This class will have a lot of discussion on how these lessons can be applied in today’s world. Taught by Michael Stein
Michael Stein has been teaching Jewish Studies in the Rockville area for over 20 years. He majored in Religious Studies and Classics at the University of Rochester. Michael first taught Judaic Studies/Jewish Ancient History at Prozdur Hebrew High School in NYC. Michael has taught both adults and kids at Magen David Sephardic Center, B’nai Israel Congregation and Har Shalom before joining the KSTT staff here at Kol Shalom. He enjoys bringing ancient and medieval Jewish history and and Jewish Culture alive for his students of all ages. When he’s not dressing up as a gladiator to teach Jewish history at KSTT, he is the Supervisory Attorney Advisor for Labor and Employee Relations at the Board of Veterans Appeals.
